Been to Birdland last Monday to celebrate my 40th. Not so much into Jazz, but my other half is and he said, if we go to New York all the way from the UK, we have to go to Birdland.
Long story short: I loved the evening; all those really great singers and that fantastic band! But what you did just blew me away. Such a voice, such a performance!
LOVED every second of it and am now listening to "Live from New York City" which I got off i-tunes on my return.
